Well it's about time...
I was browsing Reddit yesterday when I came across a great quote, one everyone should remember when they get mad at something dumb or take stuff to seriously. "Just remember we're just a bunch of evolved monkeys living on an organic rock flying through the universe." It really is quite true and when you think about it funny. It's people who think like that that I admire, people who can bite there tongues when they have to and aren't easily offended. A big problem we face as a society is political correctness, and it's a joke, but that's enough ranting for today.

Well I really have to talk about Skyrim
As exciting as the blog prompt is today it's been 5 days since Skyrim has been out and I must say. The graphics in this game are so life like, you want to see the future of technology and games, look no further. Let's not forget the music, I'm not one for all that instrumental music and whatnot but really, the music is beautiful and really sets up a great atmosphere. Then theres the open world, do what you want, become friends with who you want, I love it. This was really the first game released in my lifetime I was this excited for, and up to now its really outlived and out done the hype. It's better then I ever could have immagined. I suppose that right there is a recipe for a state of happiness and a great game, because that is how I feel!

Starling
Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this was nothing more than a group of birds who flew in formation. And like any movie, the dramatic music and nature filled camera shots simply add hype that if you were there wouldnt have noticed. You would have probably been more terrified than mystified. As for metaphors I see none, it was just a flock of birds, flying around, no symbolic or metaphorical meanings here. I could show you a few videos of my cat rolling around, add some music and a few slow motion shots and I have a video that's way more dramatic and theatrical then it really is.

It's one of those days...
I'm hungry, tired, and frankly I dont want to do anything. I know for a fact that everyone has these kinds of days but I'm having one of those weeks. Every day I've gotten up I've had to drag myself out of bed and come to school drowsy and hungry. I don't usually feel better until lunch which might I add is what I'm looking forward to today.

This is quite the gimmick
I find the article rather boring, mainly because the estimated price will be $1000 and because this isn't a technological achievement. Sending a man to the moon, the first PC, curing polio, those are achievements, putting a phone in a shirt I'm sorry to say is just silly. It seems all the new technology coming out these days are just gimmicks and scams, much like the iPhone which is quite laughable. Is putting a phone in a shirt impressive, yes, but is it something that will change the way we live and improve our lifestyle, no I'm afraid not.

Rambling about conference champs and burger king
Well as of yesterday evening we became conference champs in cheer? Well add that to the laundry list of soccer, tennis, volleyball, and now cheer. Well I'm a freshman, I can't wait to see how many more times were conference champs by the time I'm a senior, maybe even a state champion... Anyway on to Burgerking, I'll be heading there after school with Dan Barr, Owen Couture and my brother. Nothings better than buy one get one free Whopper, free refills and hot fresh fries on a Friday afternoon. Oh yes and then we have the varsity football game on Saturday afternoon, the Badgers play and game 3 of the world series starts. Then Sunday the Pack get to crush the Vikings. Happy weekend all.

The Se7en Deadly Sins
My favorite deadly sin is sloth. It's not like I do nothing, I just don't do as much as I should... I'm starting to think maybe I enjoy it too much. However I must interrupt this prompt and go off slightly into a mini tangent. The movie Se7en, yes Se7en is a movie starring Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt. The movie revolves around a serial killer who kills people who have committed a deadly sin. He kills six people before he is caught, and they don't know who he is, they can't trace any finger prints because he cuts off the ends of his fingers. He is reffered to as John Doe. The ending is an inceadible one, with a twist I never saw coming. It's a great suspense, drama that oddly feels like it has an agenda to teach everyone. It uses the seven deadly sins and really makes you think twice about who you are. If you ever get bored or enjoy listening to Morgan Freemans voice, watch this movie.

Public Schooling
I find public schooling an interesting situation. If public schools are funded, it's a great system, schools can get new learning tools, gym equipment, better school lunch and sports funding. However a bad teacher or student can make all of that not matter at all. A teacher who doesn't enjoy their job can make education hard and boring, even with good educational tools. Now take a bad teacher and student and put it into today's economy and you have a catastrophe. What we need to fix education is less spending on useless things like bigger monitors and Wiis and more money on improving education and teachers who enjoy and want to teach. Basically we need a better budget and smarter spending.

Wow.....
Yet again here in East Troy we got ourselves another packed weekend.
Friday: East Troy takes on Bigfoot in ET. Brewers have a chance to advance in the playoffs. MY PS3 might come today, very excited!
Saturday: Badgers play. Also I might be outside for a good portion of the day with blue skies and 70 degree weather.
Sunday: The Packers play and try to go 5-0, and in a crazy turn of events, they're in a division race with the Lions.
Weekends in East Troy have been quite hectic recently... Can't wait for this one!

What is the best song ever written?
Well I can already see this question causing endless debate and fierce arguments. Well in my personal and always valued opinion I would have to say from a lyrical stand point either 10,000 days by Tool or almost any RAtM song. My favorite song however would either be Cemetary Gates by Pantera or anything made off the album Master of Puppets by Metallica or the album Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer. You know what this question is to hard, I like too may bands so it's a tie between almost anything made by Slayer, Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, Trivium, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, In Flames, Sabbath, Dio, Rage Against the Machine, Shadows Fall, Smashing Pumpkins... There's a lot more but I'm failing to mention but unfortunately due to time constraints that's all I have at this point.

And the wait begins!
Today is Friday that means this is going to be a great weekend. Tomorow is Saturday... And my birthday! Then on Sunday the Pack take on none other than da Bears. This weekend is going to be possibly the best weekend of the year! Oh and let's not forget our own ET Trojans are going out to McFarland today, go ET!
Edit: East Troy beat down McFarland
Edit 2: Brewers clinched the division last night

Evillll!!! (Que dramatic music)
Evil is a very creepy and dark word. But how does one define evil? Is giving a 60 problem math assignment on the Friday before homecoming weekend evil? Is someone who never eats the end pieces of bread and leaves them for you evil? Is the guy at parties who always takes all the M&Ms out of the trail mix evil? In our society evil is a common word, however there are things in reality that are evil, terrorists, murderers, dictators. How we define evil soley depends on our moral views. 1930s Germany, Hitler thought he was doing the world good, we viewed it as evil, his staff and him would have disagreed. Someone who hunts animals like deer and birds may be seen as evil by animal rights activists, however by fellow hunters he is seen as a good person for keeping the population at a Good level. Evil cannot be defined by one person, it all depends on the psycologoical and moral stand points of each individual person. We as humans hold our race to certain standards, and those who break or separate from them are often viewed as radicals or evil people (In most cases they are) like Ghaddafi or Mubarak or Kim Jong Ill. Evil is what we view as morally wrong, and those who we think are out of line we view as evil, weather it is Hitler or that guy taking the M&Ms out of the trail mix

Scarlet Sadness and Structure
This book is shaped by symbolic events and set up by dates. Sentences like "When he was born" and "Doodles 6th birthday" or "Summer of 1918". The events in this book are almost cinematic or soap opera like. There's a sense of tradedgy at the beginning, then triumph as he walks, and then the sad ending made the story come full circle. The entire story sets itself up for a very symbolic ending, with the bird then doodle dying. The story really makes you feel this sense of morality, almost like making you feel like you should have done something.

iPod difficulties
Yesterday a weird thing happened. For the first time in months I had to reformat my iPod because apparently on the haze of my sleep I changed my passcode and forgot it... Silly me.
Anyway after reformatting and backing up files I began the sync process. I unfortunately was in a hurry and mid sync pulled out my iPod.
For 3 hours when I tried to open my music library on my iPod it just said "Canceling sync..."
Even after rebooting it several times. Then out of no where in the middle of the night I began to hear the solo to "Fade to black" coming from seemingly no where. My iPod had fixed itself, at 1 am, with speakers on... I never really was an Apple kind of guy, more of a Microsoft guy. Apple has always been better gadget and innovation wise. But this got me to think... What kind of person are you... Apple or microsoft, Mac or PC, iPod or zune. Both have their faults, but which do you prefer? I'm torn personally.

Dynamo
After using Dynamo it became clear that I knew words I didn't even know I knew...? Anyway I figured out that my vocabulary level is much higher than I previously had thought. Anyway I started toying around with it and it did show me that I knew more than I had thought.

Technology in Journalism
After reading the article "A Real Human Wrote This Column" it has proved once again that if technology keeps advancing like this, then the sky is the limit. A computer using a coded program to write an article that a journalist who needs 2+ years of college education, it's both impressive and intriguing. Perhaps we need to look at this from the future, when it may be possible for it to write entire news papers on it's own... Even the funnies. We just have to wait and see.

Minecraft 1.8!!!
Notch allowed a leak of 1.8 today... testing it as we speak! Excited!!
Edit: I've continued to play and have found that it has gotten harder and harder to stop exploring. I got to the top of the mountain and found one of these tall dark and gruesome fellows lurking.
Here He Is.

Late Again...
For the second day in a row I was late for English. Yesterday I had to help (H) with a turtle... Evidently I was late. Today there was an assembly in the lecture hall for all of resource, I was not happy finding this out. The iPads have been getting better each day, they stopped being slow and blogger now works without problems.
Im finding blogging on iPads better than journaling on paper.

Blogging about blogging
After being late to class today because I had to help (H) with a turtle I came into class and found out we had to blogg about blogging.
Well here's what I think: Blogging is much better than paper and pencil writing. Bloggig is like writing a journal without having a journal. You speak what's on your mind and get your voice heard.
Blogging Is also a great way for people to get to know you better. The more you blog the more people are able to learn more about you and understand your personality.
